After great deliberation, I have decided that in either 3 or 4 years time, I am going to stop breeding birds and live a different life in Turkey. Then I will concentrate on setting up home and building another business for my son's future.
Although this gap seems to be a long way away, time goes very quickly and I always like to plan ahead for the future.
The other reason I have posted this now, is because I will start cutting down on the number of birds that I keep and breed after this season. I will keep trying to develop and establish the Pied Redpoll and my Pied Goldfinches until then.
Not to put all my eggs in one basket, just in case this move to foreign shores does not work out, I will leave a safety net here for me and my family to return should this fail.
My back up plan will also include my best prized Pied Goldfinches, Pied Greenfinches and hopefully Pied Redpolls, of which I have been trying to develop and establish. Before I leave the UK, I will give away several pairs or more to British Breeders whom have a good breeding track record and sell off the rest.
I plan to sell all of the Mutation Goldfinches and any young birds I breed at the end of this breeding season, shortly after they have completed their moult.
These people I choose can have the Pied Birds free of charge, on condition that they breed with them but not sell them until I say it is ok to do so. This is because I may return to the UK after 1 or 2 years if things don’t work out as expected. I might even come back after a breeding season has passed, just to collect a few of my birds or offspring and take them back to Turkey for the following breeding season.
Should I return, then I would expect to have some of my original stock back or the equivalent number of their offspring and if I do not return, then these people can do as they want with any of the birds.
I will only choose 4 people whom I believe will breed them successfully and continue from where I will stop.
So my question is are there anyone whom would be interested in this?
Please do not be offended if you are not chosen, as this would be no reflection on you personally.
I will watch and follow the progress of breeding's over the next couple of seasons, to all that are interested in this arrangement.
You don’t have to post on this thread, you can send me a pm or e-mail if you are interested.
All birds for sale at the end of this season and those which I will sell before I leave this country, will be advertised on this forum first before being advertised in C&A.
